Beyond Our Narrow Vision

Encircled by its wall, our little life Sees but a small horizon of God's sky. Perplexities and tribulations rife Obstruct the scenes that just beyond us lie.
Few stars appear to bless thy mournful night, But on beyond are many suns unseen. And for each star a constellation bright. So are God's promises to us, I ween.
Or if the clouds o'erhead the sun may veil, Elsewhere 'tis shining where thou canst not see. The somber wall thy humble faith may scale, And view the wondrous plan God hath for thee.
God's power sustains each moment of thy day. His love is boundless as infinity. Thy sight is dim. O, let Him choose thy way Whose vision reaches to eternity!
Worthie Harris Holden.
