Aeroplanes as Agents of Destruction

The impression that has been made in England by the aeroplane as an agency of destruction is very forcibly illustrated by the above facsimile advertisement. The aggressive real estate man proposes to build bomb-proof cellars, so that the residents may have a place to hide from the air craft. Certainly no more diabolical thing was ever invented than the war aeroplane. To be bombarded from the sky, with no place to flee, is one of the modern terrors that has no precedent anywhere in history.
