A letter recently received from Elder G. W. Caviness, the superintendent of our work in Mexico, tells us that all our workers in that field are of good courage, and “are all safe and sound.” All through this time of war and stress, they have been having good success in all lines of the work. He baptized six in the city of Mexico recently, and will have another baptism in a few weeks. In other parts of the country, similar success is attending the work. He says that their meeting rooms will hardly hold the people who want to come. For over half a century, many persons have been listening, some half derisively, to the arguments that we have been presenting in regard to the soon coming of Christ. We have shown from the Bible that the prophets are clear in predicting His coming for the near future. As lawlessness, violence, war, wickedness, and all kinds of calamities continue to increase, there are thousands who will see that we have been right in these things. These will, just as Elder Caviness states is their experience in Mexico, become earnest inquirers, and students of the Bible prophecy, because of the continued intensities of these unsettled and perilous times.
