Kind Words

By Mrs. M. C. Sellers
Bear one another's burdens While passing on your way, If it's nothing but a kind word You can think to stop and say,
Kind words are like the dewdrops, And cool, refreshing showers, Or like the blessed sunshine, And sweetly perfumed flowers;
A sympathizing feeling That's born within the soul, To share the heavy burdens, And the tears beyond control,
Of a weary one, still striving, And pressing on alone. Beneath some heavy burdens You never may have known.
