To Eliminate Socialism.—

The Roman Catholics have what is called the Catholic Social Service Commission. Its object as stated by the Rev. M. S. Ryan, in the St. Louis Republic of June 18, 1913, is the organization of Catholic working men. He said: “The labor-unions are not yet in the hands of the Socialists, and a great body of their members favor Christian reform, but there is a dangerous element in these unions which must be guarded against.” The effort evidently is to eliminate Socialism.
