Men Decide What Women Shall Wear
And now the National Ladies’ Tailoring and Dressmaking Association, which opened its meeting in New York, June 27, have decided what women are to wear. The narrow garments stay with us and the slit skirts, only some of them have two slits. From Chicago there comes two slits, with a pistol pocket, and one of the wonderful things about this association meeting, in which thirty-four states are represented, and in which delegates for twenty-two out of thirty-four states decided as above, is that it is a man convention. Every delegate to the convention is a man, and the men are deciding as to what the women shall wear. We wish that some of our good, strong suffragettes with sensible proclivities in dress would rebel.
