Japan’s New Dreadnought Squadron

Japan has contracted for three new Dreadnoughts to be of 30,500 tons each. She already has one ship of the same size under construction, and these three will complete her squadron of four. These new ships, according to reports, are designed to have a speed of 27 knots, and will probably carry ten 13.5-inch guns. They will be arranged so that all of them can be trained on either broadside with a dead ahead or dead astern fire of four guns.
