Concentration of Wealth

One of the big corporations of the country is proposing to increase its capital stock from fifteen million to seventy-five million. This new stock is to be divided among the present stockholders by a four hundred per cent stock dividend. This prospect has caused the stock of this company to make a very material advance in price. The concentration of wealth that is in progress is quite well seen through transactions of this kind. Sixty million dollars is a large sum of money to have accrued in a single corporation, and to be ready to be distributed among shareholders in stock dividends.
