A Christian University at Pekin

THE Methodists, the Protestant Episcopalians, the Congregationalists, and Baptists have opened colleges at Pekin, China, and between them, with Government assistance and recognition, have established a Christian university. By whom it is not disclosed, but they have been offered a splendid site in Pekin, if these churches in Europe and America will raise £400,000 to provide first-class buildings and equipment for the Christian university there. The offer has been accepted, and movements are now afoot to raise the money required. It is felt that a highly efficient Christian university in Pekin will have enormous influence in bringing that numerous people to know the gospel.
