Direct Election of U.S. Senators

The constitutional amendment for the direct election of United States senators has been adopted, and one of the early official acts of Secretary Bryan will be to make the proclamation. Thirty-five states have already certified the ratification of the amendment, and they are only waiting for South Dakota to complete the requirements of the law.
