A Greek Church View.

A clipping comes to us from Wilkesbarre, Pennsylvania, giving the view of the Greek on Dan. 7:25. It is contended that the little horn of Daniel 7 is Turkey; that the “time, times, and a half,” represent so many years of prophetic days, making with the year 365 days long, 1,277 years; that these began in 636, when Mohammedans captured the Holy City, and will end in 1913; so they are sure that the Mohammedan power will fall this present year. He declares, “The foundation of the Greek nation is laid on these prophecies, and as Christians we know they will be fulfilled.” Our readers will remember that the little horn was to subdue three kings, or three were to be plucked up before it, and we presume it would not be difficult to find three different powers that had been overthrown by Turkey; but there are many other specifications in the prophecy which it does not meet, but which the Papacy does. Still, that Greek view of that prophecy is as worthy of confidence as many other prophetic views.
