Freedom from Self-Love

IT is not that God needs you, that He has come to you with all the glory of the riches of His grace in Jesus Christ, but because you need Him. He loves you better than you love yourself, howsoever strong the love of yourself may be. He would save you from that lower love. He would save you from the bondage of self-love and self-slavery to the glorious freedom of an endless life of usefulness and joy.
