New Series on Bible Doctrines

We begin in this issue a new series of articles covering some of the great doctrines of the Bible. Prominent in this, of course, is man's relationship to God, and salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. This the SIGNS OF THE TIMES deals with always as preeminently first above all things, but interwoven in this great subject there are other important doctrines, such as, “The Scriptures and Their Importance and Inspiration,” “The Law of God and Its Binding Obligations,” etc. The first of a series on “The Second Coming of Our Lord,” is given in this issue, dealing with the first advent, and the promises and prophecies relating to that, with their definite fulfilment. We also begin another series on “The Law of God,” what that law is. We commend, too, the article on “Christian Unity” by Mrs. E. G. White, showing the only true basis of Christian unity. We also begin in this number a series of short “Studies on the Book of Ephesians,” in which we shall endeavor to develop some of the great and important truths contained in the wonderful book. The studies will not be long, but will aim to cover quite thoroly the entire book.
