Is There a Secret Coming of Christ?
Is there a secret coming of Christ? So we are told by some who believe His coming to be near at the present time, that first He is coming, and will snatch away in this coming those who are ready for Him, which together constitute the bride. No one will see Him come, no one will know when the holy ones are taken away. We will simply find them gone, and by and by He is coming again with these, in power and great glory. These views are based upon various terms used in the original Scripture, such as “parousia,” “epiphany,” and “apokalupsis,” in connection with the second coming of our Lord. Do they refer to one event, or to several events? These will form a part of the study in the article on the second coming of our Lord in our next issue.
