A Fitly Finished Journey

The way is rough, and sometimes hard to tread. Dust and mire are everywhere, the sun concentrates its oppressive rays, and the chill of winter adds its discomfiture. The traveler presses on, and at last reaches the summit of life’s achievement, which lies on the border toward the setting of the sun; and from this vantage, if his steps have been guided by looking well to the hills of God, he is permitted a vision of his triumphal and glorious conquest—a fitly finished journey.—The Christian Evangelist.
