A Word from India

It is impossible for those of us who are on the ground to describe the burden that is ours as we sense the inadequacy of our present meager force and slender resources to meet the solemn situation in India. [See article in Outlook department.]
Our daily prayer is that God will arouse those who should know the time, to awake to the responsibilities of the hour before it is too late.
We wish to thank the Signs and its readers for the gift of more than $70.00 for furnishing books to our Indian native libraries. Our Indian executive committee has voted its appreciation of this gift, and decided to use it in purchasing as many sets as possible of “The Conflict of the Ages,”—“Patriarchs and Prophets,” “Desire of Ages,” and “Great Controversy.” There are hundreds of native libraries in India, and we are grateful for the privilege of placing these precious volumes in a few of them.
