“Reforming” the Calendar

A despatch from Rome in a San Francisco paper under date of April 23 says that the pope has become an ardent advocate of the proposed reform of the calendar, making an even number of weeks in the year, dropping out New Year's Day as a no-day in the calendar and bringing Easter always on April 7; the year always beginning on Monday. How this can be made to harmonize with the Christian religion regarding the Sabbath we do not know. The traditional church probably would need no Scripture for this. It could make its own laws; but how about true Protestant churches?
