Jesus the Way

We can construct trains which in a day will bear us from winter’s frost to summer’s clime — none will be constructed by wizard hand which will take us past the gates of death. We navigate the imponderable air — bridgeless for human hand is the chasm of death. Our philosophers have thought concerning God, but their combined wisdom leaves the heart disconsolate when it aches and breaks.
Jesus is the revelation of God. All light which is not a reflection of the Light of the World, leaves the soul in darkness. Jesus is not the product of evolution, nor the resultant of merely earthly factors and forces. He is God incarnate; He is the gift of the heavenly Father; He is man’s Sin-bearer and Redeemer.—Lutheran Observer.
