A Sunday-Law, City.

At the recent Catholic Federation meeting in Pittsburg, Pa., the mayor of that city said:
“Detractors have tried to smirch Pittsburg, but I want to say to you that this is the most moral city of its size in the world. Instead of being the center of all that is bad, it is just the contrary. In no city is there a stricter observance of the Sabbath; no city is more religious. Pittsburg has a real, genuine Sunday; a real Christian, moral, religious Sunday.”
The keeping of a counterfeit Sabbath is mighty poor evidence of genuine morality. Unfortunately for her reputation, Pittsburg is noted for other things as well as Sunday-keeping.
