Halley’s Comet Soon in Sight

The famous tramp comet, Halley’s, will soon be in sight. In 1835 it was seen last. It can be traced back to 240 B.C. It was not until 1759, however, that it was named, and named after Professor Halley, of Oxford, England. Since last April astronomers all over the world have been looking for Halley’s comet; and September 14 it was photographed by Professor Curtiss of Lick Observatory. We are told that it will not come any closer to us than ten millions of miles, but that it will be seen very clearly.
