Noah as a Naval Architect

The Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers refused to consider Noah’s name on the roll of honorary membership when it was suggested. Different secular journals are saying that the society is in pretty small business. The New York World, for instance, points out some of the things that Noah did, in the building of the ark, the size of the ark, the passengers and cargo of the ark, and tells us that when any member of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers, active or honorary, can build a ship that could weather such a storm as did the ark and carry such a crew as well as cargo, it would be time enough to reject Noah as a naval architect. This journal above quoted closes with: “But Noah’s services are too well known to the public at large for the votes of a lot of scientific boat-builders to make any difference with his reputation as a naval architect.” And this, too, is true.
