Barcelona’s Revolutionary Unrest

Barcelona, where the revolution in Spain broke out, has a long-time reputation of revolutions. It has been the headquarters for various societies; among these is the Internationale. Too, Barcelona has enjoyed special privileges beyond the ordinary cities of Spain. Many of the people are against war. The start of the fight seems to have been the declaration of war with Morocco. A city in which Socialism and Anarchism exist in the most advanced forms, may be expected to break out with almost anything. After all, it is but the fruitage of the hundreds of years of Roman Catholicism.
