In our next two issues, we shall present to our readers two articles on “The Present Religious Trend.” These articles will show what the Gospel is, what the principles of original Protestantism were, and where present Protestantism stands. They will offer the testimony of men qualified to speak. The result of this trend, and the only true remedy, will be set forth in the second paper. These conditions, as shown in these articles, ought to stir honest Christian souls to their very depths.
