Power of God

For untold years old Niagara roared and crashed and thundered, and the mist rose, and the rainbow spanned the forming gulf. All the energy was unused by man; the mighty power hurled the water to the bottom of the chasm and dashed it into white spray to seethe and writhe and run on adown its surging channel. At last came men who knew how to belt onto the whirling machinery of Niagara. They knew how to harness the magnificent giant for the doing of their work.
So it is in spiritual things. The power of God awaits—awaits unused. All power in heaven and earth awaits our demand and reception. There is enough and to spare. This mighty energy for heavenly uplift is constant; it is forever flowing out an unceasing tide of unmeasured force. Do you know how to put your life into movement through its impulse? Do you know how to belt onto the machinery of almighty force-for-good? Do you know how to yield to the far-flowing tides that drive the enginery of holiness? Christ teaches us how. He says to all, “Learn of Me.”
