Episcopal Church Considers a Name Change
By Editor
Next October the general convention of the Episcopal Church will meet in triennial convention in New York City, and one of the questions which they will decide there is as to whether they will change their name from the Protestant Episcopal Church of the United States to the Holy Catholic Church of America. The question will be before them, and they will have to decide it. One Episcopal clergyman declares that this movement is almost wholly of foreign agitation, and really has been forced upon the church by men who have recently come from England and who have not yet imbibed true American principles. We are glad of the agitation which is involved, and we hope that some will see more clearly just what true Protestantism means.
