Almost Home

By Mrs. M. C. Sollars

By Mrs. M. C. Sollars
Long has the voyage been, Fightings without, within, Striving to free from sin; Soon I'll be free.
Welcome, those gates so fair, Home free from sin and care; Soon, soon will I be there. Hail, happy day!
City of glory bright,— God is the Lamb, its light, Sin nevermore can blight Through all the years.
Friends I have loved so dear, Ever will they be near, No death or partings fear; Sweet victory!
Pilot, O, pilot me! Saviour, my refuge be, Till safe at home with Thee, I shall be free.
