DAY DIVINELY GIVEN.

By Thoro Harris

BY THORO HARRIS.
O DAY divinely given, Sweet season of delight! O, sacred boon from heaven, The brightest of the bright! The holy choir of angels Around the great, white throne Join in Jehovah’s praises In glorious unison.
For every tribe and nation The manna falls from heaven; To men of every station A Sabbath rest is given.
Type of a new creation! Illuminating star! From faith’s high elevation We view the land afar.
Proclaim the great redemption;
  • To weary men make known
The tidings of salvation, The rest in God’s dear Son! With longing hearts and yearning To gain th’ eternal rest, We hail thy glad returning; O day divinely blest!
