Shine To-day

TO-MORROW I shall be prepared To work at tasks too hard to-day; The burdens other souls have shared I then shall bravely bear away. But let me not put off till then The cheering word that I can say; I shall not pass this way again, So let me truly shine to-day.
Just where I am to shine and glow, To cheer some pilgrim on the way; To make some brother here below A braver soldier for the fray. It is not much that I can do, It is not much that I can say; But I can be a helper true If I but truly shine to-day.
MAX HILL.
