Louis Prang Dies at 85

Louis Prang, “the father of lithography” and famous the world over as the originator of Prang’s chromos and other works of art, died June 15 of pleuro-pneumonia at Glendale, Cal., aged 85 years. He was on his way to Seattle to attend the exposition when he suddenly became sick and found it necessary to seek treatment. His condition was at no time considered serious enough to warrant calling his relatives, but the end came unexpectedly.
