An Australian Navy

An Australian Navy.—Australia announces a naval program that contemplates the building of four ocean destroyers and sixteen river-class destroyers within three years, all to be constructed in Australia, this flotilla to take over the entire responsibility of defending the Australian coast. With Canada and New Zealand offering to build “Dreadnaughts” for the imperial navy, this loyalty of the Australian commonwealth has made a deep impression not only upon the British people but upon all Europe as well.
