Venezuelan Situation.

For a number of years Venezuela under the rule of President Castro has been a source of grave annoyance to many of the nations of the world. At times war seemed imminent. Not long ago Castro made a trip to Europe. Almost as soon as the federal court of Venezuela had decided that he was suspended from the presidency, Señor Castro boarded a steamer to return to his own country. It was evident that the nations of the world had had enough of his rule, and so many difficulties were put in his way that he failed to reach Venezuela and he was in fact deported from the French possessions where he attempted to stop for a short time. It has been quite generally believed that he had laid plans to overthrow President Gomez and regain control of the country.
