Something to Do Besides Pray

A MANSION the Saviour has gone to prepare For those who His precepts obey, And if we could enter that mansion so fair, We have something to do besides pray.
The One who created the earth and the sea And gem-studded dome of the sky, Is building these mansions for you and for me, If we work while His day draweth nigh.
'Tis not every one who is saying, “Lord, Lord,” Will enter at last to God's rest; But those who observe His commandments and word Will dwell in the home of the blest.
While prayer is the key to God's storehouse above, That opens its door every day, If we would have right to those mansions of love, We have something to do besides pray. OLA. O. ECKELS.
