Congress Debates the President’s Salary

The Senate voted to raise the President’s salary to $100,000. The House refused to accept it; defeated it by a vote of 168 to 141. An amendment was then made to raise it to $75,000, and this was carried by a vote of 163 to 149. What will come out of it we do not know.
