Solar Electric Generator Discovery

A remarkable discovery is reported from Boston which we hope may be true, and that is that a gentleman by the name of Mr. Geo. S. Cove, of Somerville, a suburb of the Eastern city, has solved the problem of storing up the sun’s rays and converting them into electrical energy. It is said that he has a one-hundred-dollar machine which supplies his house with incandescent electricity and furnishes power otherwise. His invention will be known as the solar electric generator. He discovered the secret by accident. He has also demonstrated the power to run a motor by wireless energy so that he has transmitted power from his home in Roxbury to a motor in Cambridge, six miles away.
