Seeking some lost soul to save, Onward, upward, ever pressing, Trusting in the Saviour’s love, Ever trusting and confessing; Ours to comfort, help, and cheer, As we still are onward going; We can feel Christ’s presence near, As on others gifts bestowing. Following God’s most precious Word, Still His covenant renewing; “Blest are they”—“thus saith the Lord”— They whom I shall find so doing, Looking for the coming Lord, Loving, hoping His appearing; “Even so”—thus saith the Word— Blessed promises and cheering.
