Second, as to Sabbath-School Lessons

Second, as to Sabbath-school Lessons. There are many thousand readers of the SIGNS who study the Sabbath-school lessons, but they do not as a general thing study the lesson from the SIGNS, because the lesson in the SIGNS generally comes too far in advance of the Sabbath for which it is intended. The same publishing house—Pacific Press—which prints the SIGNS prints also a lesson quarterly containing all the lessons for three months. Its cost is but five cents. When it is so inexpensive, so easily carried in the pocket, so much better as a reference to past lessons in reviews, it seems to us it would be greatly preferred, and we know that it is by the great mass of our readers. We have heard from perhaps fifteen to twenty persons who regret that we do not publish the lessons. But it would be cheaper for us to send to each of them the pamphlet, than to publish the lessons weekly.
