Tibet

Tibet.—Tibet, the “Great Closed Land,” is surrounded by missionary stations where devoted men and women are watching and waiting for opportunity to enter and preach the Gospel. Some of them in Moravian stations are 10,000 feet above sea-level. At present, while the land is inaccessible, they try to win the confidence of Tibetans who come over the border for trade, and they employ all means for making impressions of truth. This persistence of the missionaries is slowly telling upon the exclusiveness of the people. When Tibet opens in the name of the Lord this preparatory work will show its value.—Selected.
