NEVER ALONE.

BY M. WELDEN.
“Lo, I am with you alway.” Matt. 28:20.
Close to my side in the morning bright; Close in the noontide’s golden light; Close when the deepening shadows fall, And the quiet night enfoldeth all;
Close when the angry storm-winds beat, And the thorns are sharp to the pilgrim’s feet; Close when the laugh of joy is heard; Close when my eyes with tears are blurred.
In His guiding hand my hand is pressed, Weary, I lean on His loving breast. I am never alone, ah no; And my heart is filled with joy as I go.
