A New Creation.

It is creative power and nothing less that will save man; for to be saved he must be regenerated, and regeneration is re-creation. The following scriptures clearly show this: “Except a man be born again, he can not see the kingdom of God.” John 3:3. “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” Eph. 2:10. “And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.” Eph. 4:24. “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature [“creation,” R. V.].” 2 Cor. 5:17. It therefore demands the same power to save man from sin as it did to first create him. Redemption, then, is not a greater act or work than creation, but a similar work. It is the manifestation of infinite power in each case, and manifestations of infinite power can neither be contrasted nor compared by finite mortals.
