WOMAN AND UNION LABELS.

One of the ways in which the labor union purposes to enforce its demands upon the public is set forth in the following extract from the Lancaster Labor Leader:—
Organizing the women into Label Leagues is a most important factor in the label agitation. Her work in this line is of very great importance, and is not yet felt or realized. A strike or boycott is nothing compared to the power of the label.
Women can demand union goods; they can make the call for the label so strong that industries, such as manufacturers of clothing, shoes, bread, brooms, etc., would be compelled to organize, and it would no longer be the boast of the manufacturer and merchant, “We do not need the label in order to sell goods.” Every union man’s wife, mother, and sister should be in the organization.
