The New Saying of Jesus

We have considerable said on “the New Saying of Jesus,” as if they would or should in any way be the New Testament. Simply because the old manuscript copy declares, “Jesus saith,” is no evidence whatever that the sayings are His exact words. In fact, if they are genuine at all, they are evidently quoted from memory, and, according to the Gospels, not accurately. It would be worth while if we would give more attention to what is known as Christ’s sayings.
