A score or more years ago we were at Ballston Spa, Saratoga Co., N. Y. It has many natural advantages in climate and surroundings, in the foot-hills of the Adirondacks. The mineral springs were then the chief attraction. But whatever virtue there may have been in the waters of nature’s compounding, was nullified by the unhygienic living of the hotels. We are now glad to note that a modern, Christian health institution has started at Ballston Spa. It is known as the Gordonhurst Farm Sanitarium. It is situated in a beautiful country, with healthful surroundings. It has a skilful resident physician and conscientiously trained nurses. It will furnish a quiet home retreat, away from the noise of the cities, to those who need rest, recuperation, and treatment.
