New East River Suspension Bridge Completed

The great suspension bridge, across the East River, N. Y., above Brooklyn Bridge, was completed on December 19. This new bridge connecting New York and Brooklyn is 7,200 feet long, and 118 feet in width. Its towers are 332 feet in height, 60 feet higher than the Brooklyn Bridge towers. The cost of the bridge and the property which had to be condemned was $32,000,000.
