The Cost

The Cost.—A recent estimate declares that only 35 per cent of strikes succeed, 50 per cent fail, and 15 per cent are compromised. In the last score of years they have cost employers $150,000,000 and working men $300,000,000. How much they have cost in character and life is not given. These last items must be settled at the Court of Last Resort.
