A Noble Worker.

Dec. 8, 1903, died Henry Clay Trumbull, at the age of seventy-three and one-half years. We were about to say ripe age, and we will. We wish that he could have continued his work longer. Since 1875 he has been editor of the Sunday School Times, and during that time has diffused his own sweetness of disposition through it all. He said very little as to doctrine, but made very emphatic the principles of the practical life. He was eminent as an author, as an explorer, on the public platform, and as an editor, and very dear to many; but it is said that surpassing all this his greatest success was work for individual souls. One of his most helpful works is entitled, “Individual Work for Individuals.” We believe there is much light in God's Word that Dr. Trumbull did not see, but what he saw he used to the enlightening of many.
