The following recent pulpit utterance contains great truth as regards God's law: “Has Sinai's ideal been attained? If it had, there would be no tears to wipe away on earth, and no lips to moisten that are burning with fever. If Sinai's law were the law of the world, and if the martyred prophets of Israel were to-day understood and their words applied, no sweat-shops would groan, and no hovels would burst with the flood of misery which these inventions of modern industrialism and ancient vice combined have created. Humanity would be a brotherhood.”
