Wrong Never Justifiable

Wrong Never Justifiable.—If all politicians would take the stand expressed in the Louisville Courier-Journal, and stand there, there might be some hope of political reform. But of course they will not. That journal says: “This is a good time to recall the fact that oppression and wrong, tho they are sure to come, are never to be defended; and that the people who insist that they be maintained prepare for themselves the penalty which attaches to such delusions. The paramount necessity is to maintain what is right, and to remember that what is wrong never can be justified on the plea that it is necessary.”
