California’s Fertile Northwestern Valley

One of the most beautiful and flourishing parts of the State of California, the surest of crops at the least expense, so far as irrigation is concerned, is that traversed by the California Northwestern Railway from Tiburon ferry on the south, just across from San Francisco, to Ukiah on the north. Just now the valley is in all its glory of spring—early summer attire. Soon, it is expected, the railway will pass through Mendocino County, connecting with Humboldt County railways and towns. Nearly all kinds of American fruits and products of the soil are grown in the valley in abundance. It is one of the best sections of the State for summer vacations.
