Thanks for Observatory Visits

We are requested to express the thanks of the delegates and visitors to the General Conference in appreciation of the kindness of Professor Charles Burckhalter in the time that he gave and the courtesy he extended in the open nights at the Chabot Observatory. Many of our visiting brethren became better acquainted with our nearest neighbors, the moon, Venus and Mars. The double star Castor was forced to reveal that it was two with a difference. The nights, with the exception of the first two, were clear, tho not quite as steady as they might have been. But the astronomer did all in his power, and these better views of God's handiwork were greatly appreciated.
