“Jesus Saves.”—That is what His name means, “Saviour.” He is “mighty to save,” for He has creative power. He is willing to save, for He left heaven and came to this earth for that very purpose. He knows how to save, for in Him dwelleth all wisdom and knowledge. He longs to save, for He loved us and gave Himself for us. These are precious assurances to the storm-tossed or shipwrecked mariner on life's great sea. Helpless in himself, hopeless in all material things, he can look to Jesus, trust in Jesus, and know in himself that Jesus saves.
